Introducing Live Streams
Introducing Live Streams from Gideon&Sidney
Due to the global impact of COVID-19, and the UK Government's restricted guidelines regarding wedding attendance. We thought now would be the time to introduce something... well, different.
In today's climate, staying connected with friends and family is more important than ever before. With Live Streams, you can connect all your friends and family through a single link.
We're looking to expand Live Streams even further in 2021, enabling more of our couples to capture everything from their big day and share their experience with loved ones and friends.
How does it work?
Prior to the event, Gideon&Sidney will provide you with a unique URL link, which is universally compatible for any browser, device, and location. This will be sent to you via email several days before the event.
Simply pass our URL link on to your virtual guests, and we'll do the rest. Once received, guests can access your Live Stream window - which will become active up to 10 minutes before the event begins.
Our Live Stream window will also feature a comment section - so feel free to add comments or congratulations during the Live Stream. We'll send every comment to the bride and groom after the event has finished.
Key things to remember:
Please inform us prior to booking that you wish to include a Live Stream at your wedding.
Make sure the entire link is copied over once received from Gideon&Sidney. Any part of the link that is missing will not work.
If the Live Stream does not start straight away, make sure you frequently refresh the page - this ensures your URL link is kept up to date.
The link will remain active for several days after the event to ensure any late comers get the same experience.
Upon request, the Live Stream video can be sent to you in a condensed file via WeTransfer. Usually this will be sent with your main video.
Depending on your venue's access to the internet, we can not promise streaming will be an option if the necessary WIFI restrictions are not in place.
